Important reasons to keep your desire to learn. Have you ever thought upon how key learning is to your life in terms of your ability to not only survive but also to thrive both professionally and personally? Becoming a lifelong learner is important to your health, your success, and your happiness, but if that is not enough reason to learn more then consider these three key reasons to keep your desire to learn and to live and learn.
Change is necessary part of life. If humans did not change then we would not have survived as long as we have upon this planet. Change is important, even essential, but while key that change does not need to be something huge and momentous. Small changes are often daunting enough and can still lead to big rewards.
Learning can decrease your weaknesses. Most of us spend a lot of time and effort trying to conceal or compensate for our weaknesses when that time would be much better spent simply learning more about that particular aspect of our lives and learning how we can decrease that weakness. Perhaps with time and effor that weakness can become a strength.
Learning keeps your mind sharp. Study after study shows that when it comes to the brain it really is use it or lose it. Challenging your brain by learning new skills and experiencing new things can foster brain growth and development no matter what your age. One of the reasons why young children's brains grow at such a rapid rate is because they are constantly learning new things. As we grow older we tend to slow and even stop learning which is damaging to our brains.
These are just three key reasons to keep your desire to learn that should give you food for thought and hopefully start you on the road to learning more and improving yourself today, tomorrow, and all the tomorrows to come. Now go forth and live and learn so you too can reap the benefits of becoming a lifelong learner!

Are you a spirited extrovert? Since toddlerhood I have been bursting with energy and always on the prowl for new stimuli. My parents had trouble understanding my abilities to remain awake for 18 hours every day with no signs of tiring. I just never wanted to miss a beat.
Well here we are 40 years later and have never taken the time to mellow out. Since the internet began to take form in the late 90's my interest has been in search engine advertising and publishing websites that kids like. Many marketers research websites for children, but few have been or are spirited extroverts themselves.
At the turn of the millennium I began to realize that search engines and website research can pave the way for pinpoint targeted search engine marketing to children. After determining the role that search engine data had to help organize the setting of websites I set up my first kids research website in 2002. Why kids research, aren't there threats to children from online marketing? It's no secret our children are the future. Many marketing communications companies such as McDonald's, Hershey's marketing to children or Toys R us spend millions every year directed right at kids.
"Mommy, can you buy me that for my birthday?"
"Daddy I want that for Christmas"
"Hey Mom can we go to McDonald's for dinner?"
"I want that chocolate bar!"
Sound familiar? This is no fluke that your kids want what they see. The way many kids products are advertised and packaged leaves very little room for interpretation. In less than 1 second a youngster sees it, likes it and finally wants it. Now mom and dad you are the target of the "nag Factor".
Recent statistical surveys conducted suggest that children aged 12 to 17 years of age only need to say it 9 times (on average) before the parents cave and buy what they are asking for. When your son or daughter "says I want that"...you have actually been targeted by a marketing children pro. Promotion to children is a double edged sword. There is the ethics of marketing to children issue and threats to children from online marketing that is not as seen.

Each child in North America is exposed to roughly 100 TV commercials a day. If I set research in motion and dig what information I find about marketing to children is astonishing, but do I feel like I betray myself? The truth is research websites for children are a true blessing for parents.

It has been identified as a good practice of guidance by the ISFOL (Percorso di orientamento. Indagine nazionale sulle buone pratiche, ISFOL 2005). This methodology has been introduced to the international public at the ISFOL meeting of 2005. It has been tested successfully until now and it has been applied in practical experiences and publishing, above all in the scholastic field and professional education. The guiding functions of narration are to design and control on the real life, interpretation and outlook of the real life, production of sense and meaning and contribution to the personal and social identity Moreover, the storytelling guidance aims: to know and accept ourselves , know how to plan and self- planning, to have a "chart of values",and to know how to decide. And to conclude, the strong points of this method are:Its suitability to the school background;it helps to establish a positive relation with the class because it works with materials and tools close to the belonging culture of students; it is coherent with the aims of the educational course and so it assists the work of the parent-teacher class committee;tt has a strong impact on the motivation and dynamics of relation and through the work of textuality it allows to work according to a planning logical and elaborate products which show themselves like a sheer "handmade of self and of the group".

It has been identified as a good practice of guidance by the ISFOL (Percorso di orientamento. Indagine nazionale sulle buone pratiche, ISFOL 2005). This methodology has been introduced to the international public at the ISFOL meeting of 2005. It has been tested successfully until now and it has been applied in practical experiences and publishing, above all in the scholastic field and professional education. The guiding functions of narration are to design and control on the real life, interpretation and outlook of the real life, production of sense and meaning and contribution to the personal and social identity Moreover, the storytelling guidance aims: to know and accept ourselves , know how to plan and self- planning, to have a "chart of values",and to know how to decide. And to conclude, the strong points of this method are:Its suitability to the school background;it helps to establish a positive relation with the class because it works with materials and tools close to the belonging culture of students; it is coherent with the aims of the educational course and so it assists the work of the parent-teacher class committee;tt has a strong impact on the motivation and dynamics of relation and through the work of textuality it allows to work according to a planning logical and elaborate products which show themselves like a sheer "handmade of self and of the group".
